Everything I’ve read from people who’ve seen it indicates that Peter Jackson completely succeeded in translating the more optimistic and light tone of The Hobbit novel to the big screen. I’m seeing it opening night, and will post my review then. For any lover of epic cinema, genre or otherwise, this release is a momentous occasion…and it’s only going to build from here.
