ODEON (UK) confirms HFR 3D theater locations!

The ODEON theater chain (United Kingdom) has announced its list of HFR 3D theaters playing The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in 48 fps.

    As you said, quite a fair few locations have been added to the Odeon list today, and I won’t be suprised to see more and more added over the next couple of weeks. Hardly suprising really, the initial list was very small considering how many cinemas Odeon have, especially the lack of locations in many major towns and cities. Indeed the Liverpool cinema, which was the very first UK location listed on this site is now on there! My local cinema isn’t, but I’m hoping that it will be.

    Just like you said, the Odeon list has been updated with several more locations today, and I can presume there’s several more to come. Not suprising really, for such a big chain as Odeon there were suprisingly few locations, especially in the major towns and cities. Liverpool, which was the very first UK location on this site, is now on there. My local cinema isn’t, but I’m holding out hope it will be.

      Do you know whether the ODEON and Empire theaters in Leicester square are only showing it in HFR 3D for the UK premiere, or will they be showing regular screenings as well? There’s been some confusion about this. Thanks.

      I stand corrected… i just discovered that the Odeon Marble Arch is showing it in HFR 3D. I just hope they show it in Imax HFR 3D at the BFI Imax!

    I stand corrected.. I just did a bit of digging and found that the Odeon Marble Arch is taking bookings… I just hope they add the BFI Imax to the list.

    ODEON Trafford Centre does not have an IMAX screen, must be an error.
